Toronto Fashion Week Day One: Runway Recap

With our A-list lineup and chic new venue along Yorkville Avenue, Toronto Fashion Week Reimagined made its grand runway debut on Day 1.

The crystal clear tent lit up when celebrated Canadian designer Lucian Matis hit the runway with his latest collection titled “Flight.” Feathery plumes and hummingbird motifs soared alongside ruffled tiers and diaphanous fabrics. The embroidered full-face masks, and stockings for both ankles and wrists, lent an avant-garde touch to Matis’s signature elegant silhouettes—from day to cocktail to evening, the Canadian designer is known for his ethereal dresses, and this season didn’t disappoint.

Stay tuned for our runway recaps from Day Two and Day Three.
